Review of research on the biological activity of structured water naturally enriched with oxygen (formerly: Mountain Brook plus Oxygen)

Inspired by published reports and personal reviews of German consumers of water naturally enriched with oxygen, we decided to test the real impact of regular consumption of such a product on physiological functions and metabolic parameters of the human body with scientifically recognized methods.

In 2010, a complex prototype scientific and research installation was constructed for the structuring and saturation of drinking water (both spring and mineral) with low production potential. The research was led by  an outstanding scientist and inventor, prof. Dr. Ing./Princeton Christian Hechtl, with an innovative contribution of Polish technical thought and medical knowledge based on the laws of quantum physics.

In the years 2011-2012, the first randomized medical observations about  the impact of this water on the human body  staying in the health spas on rehabilitation treatments due to motor organ disorders were conducted led by  Professor Aleksander Sieroń, the then Chair of the Department of Internal Diseases, Angiology and Physical Medicine of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice.  The subjects  consumed minimum  1.5 litres of structured water with increased oxygen content daily for 3-4 weeks (some people up to 2.5  litres/day), as well as coffee, tea or beer as they liked. Among both,  patients drinking  structured water (test group equal to 51 people) and those drinking ordinary water from the same source (control group equal to 41 people), some positive well-being changes were observed due to the fact that the body was well hydrated.  They also showed a significant improvement of numerous physiological functions such as sleep, bowel movements, urination, physical and mental condition. In addition, more effective analgesic rehabilitation was observed amongst the test group subjects. Furthermore, both groups  noted a clear tendency to reduce body weight and waist circumference despite eating the same high-calorie diet. However, the most spectacular changes were observed in objective laboratory blood tests with a statistically significant decrease in the level of total cholesterol and its pathogenic LDL, as well as a significant, favourable decrease in sugar level within the test group.

In order to confirm these sensational observations, an extensive research was carried out thanks the huge interest and understanding of the Management Board of Kompania Węglowa S.A. Between 2013 and 2014, 200 miners from the the Knurów-Szczygłowice mine participated in the study. The subjects were divided into two age groups – up to 36 and above.

They represented a cross-section of almost all workplaces with different exposure profiles to unfavourable working conditions such as stress, exercise, dustiness and high temperatures.

After 3 and 12 months of regular daily consumption of 1.5-3  litres of structured water with increased oxygen content, the blood tests and medical examinations of the test group were compared to the tests from prior to the study when the employee water was the Jurajska brand, highly appreciated on the water market. Once again, they confirmed and multiplied health-promoting effects of the structured water observed in the previous studies. Particular attention should be paid not only to the reduction of the levels of the so called “bad” LDL cholesterol that intensifies atherosclerotic processes in the arteries but above all the commonly observed increase in HDL cholesterol levels which plays a crucial  role preventing atherosclerosis and heart attacks!

Due to this significant health-promoting effect, the percentage of miners at risk of a premature heart attack decreased from 62% to 14% just after 3 months of regular drinking of the structured water with increased oxygen.

Additionally, a favourable trend was observed in the reduction of both systolic and diastolic blood pressure at a level oscillating around 9-11 mm Hg or near this value, regardless of taking any additional medicines in parallel. Disappearance of kidney stones and a diminished liver size (usually enlarged as a result of consuming a significant amount of beer in this occupational group) were  observed in the ultrasound examinations.

Personal surveys conducted among the subjects during these tests also showed a clear acceleration of alcohol metabolism, with almost complete absence of very burdensome consequences of its action commonly referred to as the “hangover syndrome” . This provides additional evidence of the beneficial acceleration of metabolic and detoxification changes in the liver abundantly supplied with physically dissolved oxygen in the consumed structured water.

Moreover, many men over 36 observed a spectacular improvement in their sexual performance.

This Product was consumed by a wide range of private patients of the medical practice cooperating with the company. Their observations and testimonials  about  the qualities of this water relate primarily to its good taste, improved  mental and physical health , disappearance of constipation and  flatulence, regulation of impaired kidney  functions, as well as  improvement of liver test results, cholesterol fraction levels and glycaemia.
